Ganga Aarti during evenings is customary in the city of Varanasi. Guests can enjoy the famous Ganga Aarti at the Dashashwamedh Ghat while lounging at the bajraof our hotel in Varanasi; it is a complimentary arrangement for all our guests at Brijrama Palace.

Varanasi's Ganga Aarti is a visual treat. The city, described as ‘Kasi’ (the city of lights) in the Rigveda, is a microcosm of Hindu culture and mythology which comes to life every evening during Ganga Aarti. Every evening, priests wearing coordinated attires would gather and perform their prayers to ‘goddess Ganga’, beginning with the blowing of the conch that brings the bustling city into a blissful halt. This is followed by the ringing of prayer bells, burning incense and moving the multilayer lamps lit in fire up and down in synchronised steps while chanting prayers in unison.

It is 45 minutes of spellbinding bliss - an activity that has been carried out every day for ages. Being there to witness the Ganga Aarti one of the must-do activities in Varanasi, one of the prime attractions in this holiest city of the country!
