Our memorable escape in Rajasthan is divided into two clusters. There are six 900 sq ft cottages on either side of the lake, nestled in the natural topography of the land. They mirror the contours of the hills, which make the two look almost similar. Swayed by the strong influence of the neighbouring village’s culture and life, all the elements found in the rooms have a story behind them, ensuring that the Brij Lakshman Sagar is the best place to stay in Pali.

All our rooms open to a private splash pool that overlooks the lake and the panoramic views of the landscape, creating a visual bliss. The grey slate walls used in the bathrooms are polished with lacquer, used by local carpenters, to shine the furniture, while bathroom sinks and private plunge pools are carved out of rough granite, rescued from local mining sites.

The interiors of our cottages in Pali are brightly decorated with local influences, drawing from the nuances of the village life. The well-decorated rooms come with a large wind chime installation made of brass vessels like lotas (pots), belans (rolling pins) and mathinis (butter churners), a jalaebi patal (wok) as a key holder, and a shoe cleaner from mini brooms, which reflect the interiors’ native touch.
